Maegen Pierce, M.A. BCBA, LBA
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Maegen founded Breakthrough Behavior with the mission to provide highly effective and accessible services to individuals with autism. As a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with more than fifteen years of experience in the applied behavior analysis field, she has specialized in school, clinic and home therapy, providing a unique and personalized treatment plan for hundreds of clients throughout the United States. Maegen received her bachelor's degree in psychology with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis (ABA) from California State University, Fresno and master's degree in special education from California State University, Monterey Bay. Maegen is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Commission for the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE), the Central Florida Political Leadership Institute (PLI) 2020 Class, and the League of Women Voters of Orange County. She has also served as Chair of the MAGIC program with the Junior League of Greater Orlando, Chair of the Provider Connection Committee with Autism Speaks and a coach with the Special Olympics. She also currently serves on the Breakthrough Behavior Board of Directors. Maegen was named a “40 Under 40” award honoree by the Orlando Business Journal. She currently resides in Orlando, Florida, with her husband Ryan, daughters Saoirse and Ella, and goldendoodle Charlie.
Danae Medrano, M.A. BCBA
Vice President of Clinical Excellence
Danae has been working in the field of ABA since 2006. She began as a behavior technician in the South Bay Area of California shortly after receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology from San José State University. Danae quickly realized the positive impact ABA made on so many lives and discovered that this field and helping others was her passion. Danae completed her coursework and fieldwork supervision to become a board certified assistant behavior analyst (BCaBA), and has worked with children with developmental delays and autism from the ages of 18 months through young adulthood, in the home, clinic and school settings. She completed her master’s degree in special education with an emphasis in ABA through Arizona State University and became a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). Most recently, Danae worked in the field as a clinical supervisor for ABA programs in the Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Clara and San Benito counties in California. She lives in her hometown of San Juan Bautista with her husband Tommy, son Ryan, daughter Haylie and their shih tzu Patches. In her free time, Danae enjoys reading, cooking and watching sports with her family.
Brooke Meadows
Vice President of Operations
Brooke oversees the business operations for the organization to include facility management, operational performance and scheduling needs. She is also a Registered Behavior Technician and has been with Breakthrough Behavior since 2019 . She enjoys working with children with special needs and is passionate about getting children into care for ABA therapy. In her free time, Brooke enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She currently resides in Salinas with her fiancé and two dogs.
