Amanda May Promoted to Director of Patient Access for Breakthrough Behavior

Amanda previously served as the Operations Manager & started with the organization in 2019

Breakthrough Behavior is excited to announce Amanda May as Director of Patient Access. Amanda will ensure all prospective patients of Breakthrough Behavior experience seamless access, medically necessary services and continued support. She will also oversee credentialing of new providers, patient intake and scheduling. She previously served as the Operations Manager and began working with Breakthrough Behavior in 2019.


“One of my passions is helping patients find quality care,” said Amanda. “Being in a position where I have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the families we serve brings me so much joy. It is my goal to streamline the intake and scheduling processes to make the patient and provider experience a positive, cohesive one as we continue to bring clients into care.”


Amanda began her career more than 10 years ago through durable medical equipment (DME) and practice management, gaining unparalleled experience in the healthcare space, while also establishing herself as a respected manager.


“Amanda’s passion for excellence through innovation has driven hundreds of children into care,” said Breakthrough Behavior Chief Executive Officer Maegen Pierce. “Amanda’s keen attention to detail and her innovative drive have led to the inception of three new departments within our organization. She is a vital part of Breakthrough Behavior and we cannot wait to see what else she accomplishes in her new role.”


While her work and travels have taken her around the country, Amanda is a native Floridian and proud to call Orlando home. She is married and loves exploring Florida’s natural wonders, along with the occasional theme park.
