Safety-Care is a leading crisis prevention training course founded upon evidence-based research
Breakthrough Behavior's mission is to provide meaningful outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities and we focus on excellence, compassion, innovation and accountability to deliver clinical success to all our patients. In our continued commitment to these core values, Breakthrough Behavior is proud to announce the organization’s certification in Safety-Care Behavioral Safety Training. Safety-Care is a leading crisis prevention training course that focuses on how to prevent behavioral challenges, de-escalate early and manage behaviors safely. Safety-Care accomplishes this while also teaching new skills to the individuals Breakthrough Behavior serves.
“The safety of our staff and the patients we serve is the number one priority,” said Breakthrough Behavior Chief Executive Officer Maegen Pierce. “Safety-Care training has provided our organization with a comprehensive toolkit of techniques and resources to reduce risk and prevent crises in respectful and humane ways.”
The curriculum is founded upon evidence-based research in the areas of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) which offers staff and those the organization serves with the best strategies available. This certification is consistent with Breakthrough Behavior’s goal to maintain a comfortable, safe and learning environment and it meets or exceeds the accreditation standards outlined by CARF, JCAHO, COA and other agencies concerned with quality care.
